"CRAB TRAP" PREMIERes IN MYRTLE BEACH ON MARCH 6
MYRTLE BEACH, SC – The award-winning team of director Shea Sizemore, producers Chip White and Jason McRea Smith, and cinematographer Brent Christy, is back together again with Vanna White as executive producer, and will premiere their most recent creative effort "Crab Trap" in Myrtle Beach on Monday, March 6, 2017. Crab Trap was filmed on location in South Carolina at Murrells Inlet and Garden City with actors Danny Vinson as Thirsty, and featuring Grant Goodeve, Rebecca Koon, John Voldstad, Dave Blamy and Sophia Miller.
The short film follows Thirsty, an alcoholic trying to redeem himself in the eyes of his sister, Peru (Rebecca Koon), who has custody of his only daughter Zoe (Sophia Miller). The story unfolds with a quiet crab dinner set against the backdrop of the South Carolina coast as Thirsty embarks on his quest to renew his sister’s faith in him, win his brother-in-law’s trust, and finally get to see his daughter Zoe again.
Chip White isn’t standing in the shadow of his sister Vanna White’s limelight. He’s a shining star standing on his own—just on the other side of the camera.
Sure, the North Myrtle Beach native and producer of several recent award-winning short films still works with his elder sibling, but Chip’s the one making the calls and making waves in the industry while finding his own fortune.
